Introduction

Breakfast Smoothies

Ingredients - Serves: 1

 

PRETTY AND PINK

a handful of fresh or frozen raspberries

1/2 apple (or fresh apple juice to taste)

1 carrot

a big squeeze of lemon

a 21/2 cm piece of ginger

a wedge of fresh beetroot

1/2 avocado (optional)

a high-powered blender

 

GO GREEN

150ml coconut milk

a large handful of fresh spinach

juice of 1/2 lime

1 pineapple slice

1/2 -1 banana depending on size

a high powered-blender

Method

 

PRETTY AND PINK

  1. Add all the ingredients to the high-powered blender. Cover with water and blitz to combine.

The avocado is optional – without it the smoothie can be a bit too fibrous. Alternatively, you can strain it to make a breakfast juice – blitz with ice at the end to make it slushy!

 

GO GREEN

  1. Add all the ingredients to the high-powered blender. The longer you leave it, the smoother the consistency.

Add a drop of water for a more juice-like consistency and for extra hydration of course! Best served with ice.
