Chilli Sausage Pasta

Ingredients - Serves: 4

500g/1lb beef or pork sausages

2 medium onions

1 chicken stock cube

1tbsp tomato paste

Chilli flakes to taste

1tsp cornflour

200g/7oz fusilli pasta

Parmesan cheese to taste

Black pepper to taste


  1. Grill sausages until cooked and then cut into small pieces.
  2. Roughly chop onions and fry in a large frying pan.
  3. Mix stock cube into 430ml (¾ pint) of boiling water and add to onions.
  4. Add a heaped tablespoon of tomato paste and ½ teaspoon of chilli flakes (this will give a mild spicy flavour, add more if you like it spicier!).
  5. Add sausages to the frying pan and stir through.
  6. Add a little water to the cornflour to make a runny paste then add to frying pan and stir through until sauce has thickened.
  7. Serve on a bed of pasta, which has been seasoned with black pepper and Parmesan cheese.
